I just realized how important this library is to me. I had come here as a child, and stayed for countless hours of the day reading the picture books, as I grew I promoted myself to chapter books, and novels. It became somewhat of a second home during one summer in my an awkward phase. It was an escape from a sometimes strict mother, and overprotective, suffocating family. It’s the one place I was allowed to go to by myself. No one else. Just me. To sit on a chair, be left alone, and just read.
